CNP Washing Instructions

CNP Car Wash Instructions:

Car pre-wash

In order to protect the car's paint surface from annoying scratches as long as possible, careful pre-washing is the basis. The essential thing in pre-washing is to remove all small dirt particles from the paint surface before the car's paint surface is mechanically touched with any cleaning agent.

Pre-washing begins by applying the dissolving detergent CNP Degreaser to the dry paint surface, but it must not be allowed to dry on the car's surface, so it is best to apply the rich foaming CNP Foamy Wash with a foamer over the dissolving detergent, which also helps to remove dirt and significantly delays the drying of the detergent before rinsing. The idea of applying it to a dry surface is that the detergent is not diluted when used this way. If the car is first rinsed with water and the pre-washing agent is applied to a wet surface, the detergent will be diluted at least somewhat. The pre-washing agent is allowed to take effect for a few moments (remember to read the instructions for use!). When the detergents have had enough time to take effect, rinse the car thoroughly with plenty of water with a pressure washer.

The result of the pre-wash is also affected by the distance of the pressure washer nozzle from the car. Spraying from too far away will not provide the necessary rinsing power. Only after a thorough pre-wash can you perform a mechanical hand wash on the car!

After the pre-wash, the car is washed with CNP Wash& Protect coating product, depending on the dirtiness of the car after the pre-wash, either with a foam applicator alone, spreading it over the entire car, followed by rinsing with water. If it is deemed necessary to remove dirt by hand, for example with a sponge or a washing mitt, we recommend using the two-bucket technique (this practice is discussed in the next section).

Car washing with two-bucket technique

When washing your car by hand, use the two-bucket technique. In this technique, one bucket is filled with the actual washing water and the other bucket with clean water. The idea is simple: rinse the cleaning equipment in clean water before dipping it into the washing water. This way, the washing water stays as clean as possible. The technique also involves washing a small area of the car, i.e. a panel, at a time, and between each such area, the washing glove is first dipped in the rinsing water and then in the actual washing water. The goal is to reduce the amount of dirt particles that end up back in the circulation.

Finishing the wash

After washing thoroughly, add CNP FINE TOPPING to the foamer. The mixture is spread over the entire car with the foamer, after which it is rinsed off with water. After this, it is recommended to dry the car gently with a drying cloth or chamois, which will significantly extend the washing interval.
